An interlude
I am taking a hiatus from my normal format of blogging.
It occurs to me that while I enjoy haikus and all the wonderful forms of poetry, I am perhaps better suited to a different writing form. Recently I have delved into nonfiction writing, and I find it almost as enjoyable as haikus. But, more importantly, I seem to be better at nonfiction than poetry.
I believe I’ve always known this.
I love the poem because of the simplicity and the brevity. I can write a poem in a day, an hour, even 10 minutes. But a short story isn’t so short for me when it comes to time spent writing. A nonfiction article takes even longer. Thus, I stuck to the easiest path, the shortest line.
So, from now on I may use this blog to harness my nonfiction abilities. Occasionally I may revert back to haiku, but for now it’s solid prose.
And did I mention the Master Formula is one of the best multivitamins?
